Cert Octavian expands in Yorkshire

National logistics operator Cert Octavian has expanded its presence in the Yorkshire market by acquiring a second distribution facility, which is one of the largest lettings in South Yorkshire in 2008.
Cert Octavian is currently based on Hellaby Industrial Estate and has just acquired a further 84,000 sq ft at Adwick Park, Manvers, in the heart of the Dearne Valley, near Rotherham in South Yorkshire.
The company, advised by DTZ, has agreed to a new five-year lease with an option to break after three years.
Paul Mack, associate director at DTZ, who advised Cert Octavian comments: "This transaction is one of the largest industrial lettings in South Yorkshire this year and sends out strong signals to landlords and developers that there are still plenty of deals to be done, despite the negative sentiment currently overshadowing the market."
