'Strength through unity' call on languages
The Linked Up project allows schools to team up to improve their teaching of modern languages. It is being co-ordinated by publicly funded organisation Links into Language for Yorkshire and Humber.
Five Sheffield secondary schools: King Edward VII, City, Handsworth Grange, Tapton and Wisewood have already pooled their resources through the scheme and now teachers across the region are being urged to apply.

We are delighted with the way language learning is linking up in South Yorkshire and we are now looking for applications from West Yorkshire and the Humber for the next round of funding which finishes on April 23."
