Mo was also nominated for best TV Movie/Mini-Series, while Walters is recognised for her portrayal of Mo Mowlam, the late Secretary of State for Northern Ireland who battled a brain tumour while working to forge the 1998 peace agreement.
Mo is competing against the Swedish TV mini-series Millennium, based on the late Stieg Larsson’s crime novel trilogy. Millennium’s Michael Nyqvist and Noomi Rapace are also nominated in the acting categories.

Hide AdBrazil has six nominations, all for TV Globo productions, followed by Japan with four.
Other British contenders include reality show The World’s Strictest Parents, prime-time BBC drama Sherlock, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role alongside Martin Freeman, Gareth Malone Goes to Glyndebourne, for arts programming, and Facejacker, the Hat Trick produced comedy for Channel 4.
Nominees from a record 20 countries will be competing for International Emmys to be presented on November 21.
