York boss Jackie McNamara said: “We deserved to win with the number of chances we created and, if we had got that second goal, we would have done.
“But the difference in terms of our fight and passion, after last week, was there for all to see. On another day we would have scored four or five goals.
“We had one off the bar and their keeper made two good saves from Danny Galbraith and Jake Hyde. We’ve taken a point but it should have been three.

Hide Ad“We could have still done things better, though. We lost our concentration and their striker nipped in front of our centre-back for the equaliser but I still believe we can catch Stevenage and stay up. That’s still possible.”
